Draft. The founder will finalize this page before launch.
What follows is a plain-language description of how JobsFilled handles messages and data today. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet. The items marked “To finalize” are for the founder.
Who we are
JobsFilled is a missed-call text-back and appointment-booking service used by small service businesses (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, locksmiths, salons, movers, cleaners and similar trades). When you call or text one of those businesses and they use JobsFilled, the text messages you receive are sent by JobsFilled on that business’s behalf.
What we collect
If you contacted a business that uses JobsFilled
- Your phone number, the time of your call and whether it was answered.
- The text messages exchanged with the business, including what you tell us about the job (for example the service needed, the address, how urgent it is, and any photos you send).
- Appointment details you book, confirm, reschedule or cancel by text.
- Your opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP) requests.
If you are a business using JobsFilled
- Your name, business name, phone numbers, email, business hours, services and price ranges, and the settings you choose.
- Your conversations, appointments and weekly report data.
How we use it
- To text you back after a missed call, answer your questions about the job, and book, confirm or remind you about an appointment.
- To alert the business owner about your request so they can call you back or show up.
- To send the business a weekly summary of calls, conversations and bookings.
- To honor opt-outs: when you reply STOP, we keep a record of your number so that business does not text you again.
Replies are written by an AI assistant operated by JobsFilled on the business’s behalf and are reviewed by the business owner. The assistant only uses the services and price ranges the business has provided. Emergencies (for example a gas smell or flooding) trigger a safety message and an immediate alert to the business.
Sharing
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in information are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We share information only with the service providers we need to run the service: a telecom provider that delivers calls and texts, an AI model provider that helps write replies, and the hosting provider that stores our data. They process it on our instructions and for no other purpose. We also share your messages with the business you contacted, because it is their conversation with you.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts from that business. Reply HELP for help. Reply START to opt back in.
- To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, contact the contact details on the home page (being finalized). We keep a record of your opt-out even after deletion, so you are not texted again.
Contact
Questions about this policy: the contact details on the home page (being finalized).
To finalize (founder)
- Add the legal business name, mailing address and an effective date.
- Confirm retention periods for messages, call logs and consent/opt-out records (see docs/COMPLIANCE.md).
- Name the telecom, AI and hosting providers, or link to a sub-processor list.
- Have a lawyer with TCPA experience review this page and the client agreement before go-live.
- Keep the sentence about mobile numbers never being shared for marketing: carrier (A2P 10DLC) reviewers look for it.
